Simone Biles

Simone Biles (born March 14 1997 Columbus Ohio U.S.) American gymnast, who was regarded as one of the sport's greatest athletes. The 2016 Olympics were held at Rio de Janeiro and Biles became the U.S.'s first female gymnast ever to be awarded four gold medals. She also claimed the world championship for all-around 3 times in succession (2013-15). Biles as well as the younger of her sisters Adria was adopted from Ronald Biles and Nellie Biles their grandparents in Spring Texas (in the Houston area), grew up there. Simone began to take an interest in gymnastics when she was just six when she took a field trip for day care to Bannon's Gymnastix and she remained there for eleven years under the direction of her trainer Aimee Boorman. Biles won a gold medal in vault, as well as a gold medal on the floor at the 2010 Women's Junior Olympic National Championships. In 2011, she began participating in the elite level of the sport.
